You think you have it tough, but moms that have children with disabilities are challenged as a mother more; especially as a single mother. Although this child wasn't created alone it seems when the long nights never seem to end, many father abandon these women only because they cannot handle the pressure.
A child with special needs really takes a special person to take on this responsibility. Many women give up on their children because the journey they have to go on is not what they planned on.
I was in the emergency room, and I just had to give God thanks and also ask forgiveness because the stuff that makes me argue with my healthy child, some mothers will never experience it with that particular child. Image see a mother with a child that is sick not just from a flu, but from some sort of disability. This isn't a 24 hour episode, but a 365 day that never seems to end.
Seeing this woman comfort her child, letter her child know that she was there, and being so overly protective show that you can experience your child's love regardless of what limitations they may have. This something that made me want to praise these mothers with special needs children is that in spite of, their love far surpasses what I could ever imagine.
The long sleepless nights, doctors appointments, unconditional love because they are your own. Never giving up on them the sacrifice that is made 365 days of the year. No one can really understand it unless your going through it. I thank God for your strength, your unconditional love and especially for that gift that you have to love in spite of. That shows me your love runs so deep it can never be measured. If your going through this, please stay encouraged, your strength and your faith has already gotten you this far.
