We have to learn to listen

Communication is one of the hardest areas that a parent can encounter when dealing with their children. Children first learn how to communicate not with their words but with their actions. When they are first born it’s with their crying as they get older it’s with their actions, then eventually with their mouths and soon their lack of words. The reason I bring this up is that I got a scripture Proverbs 22.6, says START a child in the way they should go and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

I hear parents speak about how they cannot communicate with their children; the fact is most parents don’t start communicating with their children until they start getting into trouble, and a parent form of communication is yelling. The last time I checked communicating take one to listen and one to speak and vice versa. I hear so many parents talking to their children but many don’t take the time to listen.

If you ever pay attention to mothers and their children you always see a mother talking to their children, but don’t realize they are brushing them off at the same time. Then the wonder as they get older why their children brush them off.
